The PJM segment comprises of power generation facilities located in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Virginia, West Virginia, and New Jersey. It offers wholesale electricity and provides transmission planning. The NY/NE segment consists of power generation facilities located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, and New York. It dispatches power plants to meet system energy and reliability needs and settles physical power deliveries. The ERCOT segment serves the state of Texas over a high-voltage transmission system. The MISO segment includes three power generation facilities in Illinois. The CAISO segment contains two power generation facilities located in California. The company was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Houston, TX.
