Which continent will the 2026 World Soccer Cup champion country compete in?For settlement purposes, a country is considered part of a continent based on the FIFA World Cup qualification pathway it competes through, rather than strict geographic borders. European nations are those that compete through UEFA qualification, African nations through CAF, North American nations through CONCACAF, South American nations through CONMEBOL, and Asian/Oceanian nations through either AFC or OFC qualification. Refer to the below country designations.
- Europe/UEFA: France, Spain, England, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czechia, Switzerland, Türkiye, Sweden, Austria, Scotland
- South America/CONMEBOL: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay North America/CONCACAF: USA, Mexico, Canada, Curaçao, Haiti, Panama
- Africa/CAF: Morocco, Congo DR, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ghana, Cape Verde, Algeria, South Africa, Tunisia
- Asia or Oceania/AFC or OFC: Japan, Iraq, South Korea, Australia, Iran, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, New Zealand
Trading prohibitions
- Current and former players, coaches, and staff of the league, association, or organization(s) governing the event. For college leagues/associations specifically, or where otherwise appropriate (as identified by the Exchange), this applies to current and former players/coaches/staff of the specific teams in Continent to Win the Men's World Cup rather than the league/association as a whole (e.g., if the Division I Gonzaga Men’s Basketball Team is playing in Continent to Win the Men's World Cup, this prohibition will restrict trades by current/former players of that team, rather than all current/former players/coaches/staff in any NCAA sport).
- Paid employees of the league and league participants
- Owners of teams and the league
- And household members and immediate family of all above
- Persons who are employed by any of the Source Agencies are not permitted to trade on the Contract.
- Persons who hold any material, non-public information on the Underlying are not permitted to trade on the Contract.
