The company was founded by David Gary Neeleman in August 1998 and is headquartered in Long Island City, NY.

Forty percent of JetBlue's business is out of the New York metropolitan market, which is slot-constrained and has shown more resilient pricing than other parts of the market.

Competitive pricing with Mint and the A321XLR could provide attractive economics on trans-Atlantic routes for JetBlue.
