About stock tokens

Robinhood Stock Tokens follow the prices of publicly-traded stocks and ETFs—they are derivatives tracked on the blockchain, giving you exposure to the US market.

How stock tokens work

When buying stock tokens, you are not buying the actual stocks—you are buying tokenized contracts that follow their price, recorded on a blockchain.

You can buy, sell, or hold stock tokens—but you cannot send them to other wallets or platforms at this time.

Stock tokens are displayed, bought, and sold in USD. When you place a trade, we automatically convert your euros using the current exchange rate, plus a small 0.10% FX fee. You do not need to convert currencies yourself.

Benefits

  • No commissions or added spreads from Robinhood: Just a 0.1% FX fee covers everything. No hidden fees, ever.
  • Start with just €1: Access the market on your terms—and earn dividends when eligible.
  • 24-hour market access: Buy and sell stock tokens any time, Monday to Friday.
  • Invest with confidence: Robinhood Stock Tokens are offered under MiFID II as derivatives. The underlying assets are held securely by a US-licensed institution.

Available stock tokens

You can view all the currently available stock tokens in Explore (magnifying glass). You can review Search stock tokens for more details on finding stock tokens and other available assets.

Trading hours

Currently, you can trade stock tokens from Monday at 02:00 CET/CEST until Saturday at 02:00 CET/CEST (subject to local daylight savings schedules).

Outside of trading hours, you can queue buy or sell orders for when the market opens again. The order confirmation screen shows if your order is queued.

Order types

We currently support buy and sell orders using either quantity amounts or EUR values, including whole tokens and fractionals. We plan to support more order types soon.

Corporate actions

Corporate actions are events that impact the underlying stock, such as splits, reverse splits, ticker changes, mergers & acquisitions, delistings, dividend payments, and spinoffs. These corporate actions will also affect your stock tokens.

We handle these corporate actions for your stock tokens. For example, if the underlying stock undergoes a stock split, we adjust your token holdings proportional to the split ratio.

Placing a new order is unavailable during corporate action processing. In most cases, trading is unavailable from the early morning on the effective date (around 2 AM CET/CEST) and resumes once processing is complete, typically by the start of the US market day (around 3:30 PM CET/CEST).

You will be notified about corporate actions and trading halts. If an asset is only supporting closing orders (sell orders) due to a pending corporate action, for example during a delisting, you will see banners and/or notifications that reflect this. The same goes for when external exchanges halt trading for an asset.

For more details on how specific corporate actions are handled, you can view a corporate actions tracker or review Corporate actions for stock tokens.

Market data

While all positions are quoted against euros, charts and fundamentals may be displayed in USD initially. Information such as earnings, company descriptions, and statistics (Bid/Ask, Volume, Market Cap, P/E ratio, Dividend yield) may show in USD.

FX (Foreign Exchange)

All positions are displayed in EUR, but you do not need to convert USD yourself. When you trade, we automatically convert your euros using the current exchange rate, plus a small 0.10% FX fee.

Risks

Investing in financial products like stock tokens involves risks, including the potential loss of invested capital. Before trading, you complete an onboarding process that includes questionnaires to help you understand and evaluate your tolerance for these risks. Review the Description of Services, Financial Instruments and Risks and Key Information Document for additional information regarding the risks of trading stock tokens.

It is essential to fully understand the risks involved before you invest.
