The days listed above don’t count as stock or cash settlement days.

Bank holidays

Keep in mind that banking holidays may affect settlement times and cash transfer times. In addition to stock market holidays, the following upcoming US bank holidays are:

  • Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Columbus Day (October 14)
  • Veterans Day (November 11)

*Stock market half-days

Stock market trading will close at 1 PM ET (with extended-hours trading concluding at 3 PM ET) on the following upcoming US market half-days:

  • Day before Independence Day (July 3)
  • Native American Heritage Day, the day after Thanksgiving (November 29)
  • Day before Christmas (December 24)

Keep in mind

Our app will show you the equivalent Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or British Summer Time (BST) that matches up with the US Eastern times for trading hours. For example, 9:30 AM ET is 5 hours behind GMT and 4 hours behind BST, so will either be 2:30 PM GMT or 1:30 PM BST.
