Device monitoring

Device monitoring shows you all the devices you’ve used to sign in to your Robinhood account, such as mobile devices, tablets, or laptops. We recommend regularly reviewing the listed devices and removing any you don’t recognise or no longer use.

If you ever sign in from a new device, we'll send you a device approval notification to verify it’s really you accessing your Robinhood account. You’ll have to approve the activity to finish signing in.

Manage your devices

In the app:

  1. Select Account (person icon) → Menu (3 bars) or Settings (gear)
  2. Select Security and privacy
  3. Select Devices
  4. Select a device to view further details
  5. Select Remove Device if you want the device signed out of your account—removing the device signs you out of it and may require you to verify it’s you the next time you use it to sign it

If you notice suspicious activity

Contact us immediately

If you see activity that you don’t recognise or didn’t authorise on your Robinhood account, or have any other reason to believe it has been compromised, contact us immediately. When reviewing your account activity, keep in mind that the locations of devices listed are approximate.

Note

The location shown in the notification may not represent your exact physical location if:

  • you’re on a mobile network or virtual private network (VPN)
  • you provided your login credentials to someone else or fell victim to a scam (such as phishing)

How do I sign in from a new device?

When you’re logging in to your Robinhood account from a new device, we’ll send you a device approval notification to verify your identity. We do this to make sure that the login attempt is from a device that you have access to, and not from an attacker.

Check out How to sign in to Robinhood with a new device for more details.
