Wat is Cardano?
Cardano (ADA) is een crypto-asset en blockchainplatform dat in 2017 is gelanceerd. Als platform is het doel van Cardano om zo milieuvriendelijk mogelijk te zijn door gebruik te maken van een proof-of-stake (PoS) systeem, dat minder rekenkracht vereist dan de alternatieve proof-of-work modellen. Net als bij Bitcoin worden transacties afgehandeld op de eerste laag van Cardano, en worden slimme contracten uitgevoerd op de tweede laag van Cardano, wat vergelijkbaar is met Ethereum.
