Cortex Digests is here
The value of your investments and the income you receive from them can go up and down, and you may get back less than you invest. Any examples are for illustration purposes only.
We’ve all been there. A stock in your portfolio is moving and you can’t quite figure out why. Was there something buried in the earnings announcement? Did a bank just change its view on the company? Are you even allowed to read that new analyst note?
Enter Digests, the first feature fuelled by Robinhood Cortex, our AI-powered investing assistant. It uses generative AI to quickly review breaking news, analyst reports, technical information and Robinhood’s proprietary data to summarise why a particular stock might be moving. Importantly, it’s delivered to your app in plain English.
Filling the knowledge gap starts here
For a lot of first-timers, feeling like you don’t know what’s moving markets and the lack of confidence that breeds are the biggest barriers to investing. Even seasoned heads often struggle to keep up with what’s happening to their stocks. That’s why it’s not only important to make sure we have access to investment tools, but also the knowledge and skills to use them.

Six things to do before you start investing
High quality, premium investment and market analysis has historically been reserved for institutional investors and the rich. Digests is the first Cortex product going live in the UK to help bridge that gap by curating authoritative data sources, voices and opinions to give insights that help all investors navigate the markets.
Cortex Digests, you invest
Our Digests tool doesn’t know your personal financial goals, tolerance for risk or time horizon so it isn’t a robo-advisor, portfolio manager or investment strategist and it doesn’t give financial advice. It’s there to offer timely and accurate information to help you make informed investment decisions for yourself and, from reports across the pond, it’s coming in useful.
We first announced Digests earlier this year at our Lost City of Gold event in San Francisco and it began rolling out to our US customers over this summer. Since then, it has been used by hundreds of thousands of customers, with 95% of those surveyed saying they love using the product. In particular, they like that it includes the data they care about, the information was up-to-date, sources were relevant and that it was easy to find what they needed.
Digests keeps you in the driver’s seat
Ultimately, Digests is about giving everyone, of all experience levels, the information they need to feel empowered to invest for themselves. That might mean re-evaluating a position or it might mean doing nothing at all - the important part is being informed and feeling confident in your decision.
More broadly, Digests complements the financial education and market insights already on offer on our Learn pages. So, whether you want to keep up to date with the latest news, interpret market trends or find guidance on different ways to manage your own investment journey, we’ve got you covered.
