2025 was a landmark year for the crypto industry, defined by meaningful innovation and growing adoption across the globe.
Robinhood was proud to be part of that progress. From expanding access across the U.S. and Europe to introducing advanced trading tools and new asset types, we continued working toward our mission of building the most intuitive and powerful crypto platform for our customers.
“In 2025, we showed what’s possible when crypto meets transparency, access, and innovation,” said Johann Kerbrat, SVP & GM of Robinhood Crypto. “We’re taking that momentum into 2026 by building a faster, smarter, and more connected future for every investor.”
As we look back on a year defined by speed, precision, and progress, we’re celebrating the momentum we’ve built this year – and sharing a few exciting updates on what’s next.

$51 billion in crypto assets under custody as of Q3 2025
$232 billion* of crypto notional trading volume over the last twelve months as of Q3 2025
~$1 billion staked as of Q3 2025
Over 45 digital assets listed in the U.S. and more than 65 listed in the EU

We’re doubling down on building powerful tools for our U.S. customers, helping them move faster, smarter, and with more control.
Advanced features
Starting December 22, we’re adding the ability for customers to manually add cost basis for crypto deposits to keep tax lots, profit & loss, and average cost up to date. Tracking gains and losses is a common pain point for advanced traders, and we're excited to unlock simpler tax reporting for crypto customers.
We expanded our fee tiers from 3 to 7, offering rates as low as 0.03% for high-volume traders.
We brought crypto to Robinhood Legend on both desktop and mobile, giving active traders professional charting, and precision tools at their fingertips.
In January 2026, we’re adding fee tiers support to crypto trading API.
Unlocking access
More insights
We launched Cortex Digests exclusively for Robinhood Gold customers, unlocking near real-time insights into crypto and stock movements, powered by Robinhood Cortex.
We also added tax-lot selection and realized P&L visibility, empowering traders to manage gains and losses with more clarity.

Following MiCA and MiFID approvals earlier this year, Robinhood expanded across the entire EU and EEA, becoming one of the first platforms to offer an all-in-one investing experience in the region.
Today, we’re announcing Money Market Funds (MMFs) to help customers earn interest on uninvested cash, even when you’re not trading. MMFs will begin rolling out to eligible customers in the coming weeks.
2025 was about bringing more choice to our European customers.
Unlocking access
There are more than 65 digital assets available on Robinhood in the EU.
We added Stock Tokens linked to leading U.S. equities and ETFs, giving eligible customers greater access, diversification, and the flexibility to build portfolios that fit their goals. Starting today, more than 1,000 Stock Tokens will be available to trade across the EU and EEA and we will continue to add more.
Advanced features
Perpetual Futures, initially launched with BTC and ETH, is now available alongside new trading pairs including XRP, SOL, DOGE, and SUI. In the coming weeks, eligible customers will be able to trade with up to 7x leverage.
Automatic Investments are available for both crypto and Stock Tokens – so customers can invest with as little as €1 on a schedule that fits their goals.
Web Experience: Today, Robinhood in the EU is mobile-app only. Later this month, starting with crypto trading, we're bringing Robinhood's intuitive, familiar web platform to investors in Europe who prefer a clean, streamlined view of their portfolio.
2025 set the stage for what’s next — with more powerful tools for active traders, expanded assets, and our first step into tokenization.
Now, we’re developing Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain based on Arbitrum, designed to power tokenized real-world and digital assets. The future of finance is onchain – and we’re building it.
