Claim a gold bar
Congratulations! The drawing is complete and a 2.5-gram gold bar from the Robinhood Gold Bar Giveaway Sweepstakes is almost yours.
After you receive an email from Merkle about being a sweepstakes winner, you must provide the following mandatory information within 3 days or you will be disqualified:
This information is required to confirm your eligibility. If you don’t meet the eligibility criteria, don’t provide this information, or provide it after the deadline, you’ll be disqualified.
If you meet our eligibility criteria and provide your information on time, Merkle will send you an email. You’ll also receive an email from our gold vendor, APMEX, with tracking information when your prize has shipped. Your prize should arrive by the middle of June.
Review the official rules. If you can’t find an answer in the rules, reply to the email from Merkle and they’ll get back to you.
If you are a Robinhood account holder, the value of this prize (at the time that it is purchased) will be reported to the IRS. This prize has an estimated retail value of $288 (as of February 26, 2025). However, gold is a commodity with fluctuating value. Robinhood makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding the current or future value of the gold bar when it’s shipped to you. US law requires that the actual cost of the bar is reported to the IRS. Therefore, if you choose to accept this prize, you will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC reporting the actual cost of the gold bar for the 2025 calendar year. For specific questions, consult with a tax professional.
