Similar to Robinhood Cortex Digests, Robinhood Cortex leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to generate plain-language answers to your questions. Cortex is your conversational AI copilot for navigating the app, uncovering investment insights, and getting support based on your overall portfolio with Robinhood.

Keep in mind that Cortex is only available to our Robinhood Gold members ($5 monthly subscription).

Cortex can help you with portfolio knowledge, investment research, orders, app navigation, support, and benefits, all without leaving our app.

1. Within your Robinhood account, select the Cortex icon at the top right (next to the Search tool as highlighted in the following image)

• Note that the first time you use Cortex, you’ll be introduced to its value props and asked to review and agree to the Robinhood Cortex agreement

2. Ask or enter a question like “How is my portfolio doing today?” or “What is a dividend?” (as shown in the following example)

• Voice-to-text is available for asking your question

4. You can then ask follow-up questions and Cortex will:

• Use research for insights like portfolio knowledge, market insights, and financial planning
• Streamline app actions like market, stop, and limit orders
• Monitor market movement and breaking news that may impact your portfolio
• Link to our support team for further assistance

Cortex will continue to evolve after we launch it. Features that are not available now may be added in the future. Think of Cortex as Robinhood's very own in-app assistant.

• Financial advice: Cortex cannot give buy or sell recommendations or predict future price moves.
• Complex trades: It currently cannot assist but can link you to limit orders, futures trades, or multi-leg options trades.
• Administrative tasks: It cannot complete tasks such as account changes, refunds, asset transfer reimbursements, or Retirement operations. However, it will link you to where in the app you can complete tasks like changing your password.
• Unsupported data: It does not have access to open-web browsing or social media sentiment (like Reddit or X data).
• Submit trades or transfers: It can create the order, but you will need to review and submit it.

Cortex can create specific screeners to help you discover stocks that match specific criteria to market data. For example, you can ask a question like “Show me large-cap stocks with relatively low P/E ratios.” It’ll then show you the screen criteria, the list, the source it used, and may suggest additional filters to shorten the list.

For a current chat, Cortex will keep it open for the next 2 hours. After 2 hours of inactivity, it’ll save the chat as text in your chat history in the app. You can view previous chats with Cortex by selecting the Clock rewind icon at top right.

Cortex chat history is stored for the next 30 days. Voice requests are transcribed by AI and stored as text in your chat history.
