Crypto deposit sweepstakes | Robinhood

Crypto deposit sweepstakes

From June 17-July 7, 2025, you can enter for a chance to win 1 of 5 Bitcoins (BTC) in the Robinhood Crypto Season Cash Deposit Sweepstakes.

How do I enter?

You can enter the sweepstakes in 2 ways:

1. Deposit funds

As a Robinhood Crypto customer, you are automatically entered when you make a qualifying cash deposit of $1 or more starting at 11 AM ET on June 17, 2025 and before 11:59:59 PM ET on July 7, 2025. Every $1 in net cash deposits earns 1 entry.

  • Entries are updated in real-time on the Crypto Season Hub
  • Maximum of 1,002,000 entries per customer

2. Mail-in entry (no deposit required)

As a qualified US resident, you can enter for free by mailing in a postcard. Each postcard entry counts as approximately 3,000 entries. Any potential winner will be required to create a Robinhood Crypto account in order to claim the prize if they don’t already have one.

How it works

This limited-time sweepstakes rewards you with entries based on your net cash deposits made into your individual, self-directed Robinhood account during the promo period. Net cash deposits are calculated as:

Total deposits – total withdrawals = net deposits

Each $1 in net deposits earns 1 entry into the sweepstakes.

Which transfers are eligible?

Only cash deposits made into an individual, self-directed brokerage account through an automated clearing house (ACH) bank transfer, an instant bank transfer (real-time payments or RTP), a wire transfer, a debit card transfer, or a non-originated account (NOA) transfer are eligible as sweepstake entries. Keep in mind that Robinhood Crypto and ACATS transfers are not eligible.

What do I get?

5 winners will each receive 1 Bitcoin (BTC). The prize value is based on BTC's price at the time of transfer to the winner’s account.

Note

BTC value is volatile and may rise or fall after it’s awarded.

Am I eligible?

To participate, you must:

  • Be a legal resident of the 50 US states or Washington D.C. (excluding NY)
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a Robinhood Crypto account in good standing (for deposit-based entries)
  • Have, or be able to provide, a valid IRS form W-9

When is the drawing?

The drawing will occur on or around July 21, 2025.

Will this affect my taxes if I win?

Each grand prize winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 as required by rules and regulations, reporting the actual value of the prize at the time it was deposited into each winner’s account. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use.

What if I don’t want the reward?

The app will show entries for you but if you happen to win and don’t want to claim the reward, you don’t have to.

Entry Limits

You may receive a maximum of 1,002,000 entries during the Promotion Period by any combination of entry methods. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address or Account. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, and logins, or any other methods, will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and may result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, Sponsor and Administrator will rely on the information submitted by the entrant when creating their Account. If any additional information provided by entrant is inconsistent with the information previously provided, Sponsor and/or Administrator may disqualify such entrant, and such disqualification may result in the forfeiture of any prizes won. Sponsor, in its discretion, may require additional documentation from the entrant to show proof of the entrant’s identity.

Prize Drawing

Administrator is an independent organization whose decisions as to the selection of the potential winners are final and binding. Administrator will randomly select the potential Sweepstakes winners from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period, on or around July 21, 2025. Sponsor will conduct a confidential background check and will disqualify any selected winners where it finds evidence of financial crimes or related activity, terrorist financing activity, or if they are included on the Office of Foreign Assets Control’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List. The results of the background check will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of determining the winner's eligibility to receive a prize. Sponsor will notify all potential winners by email with prize claim instructions. Each potential winner may be required to complete an IRS W-9 and if they don’t already have one create a Crypto Account within 5 days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent to claim the prize. If a potential winner of any prize cannot be contacted, fails to take the required steps and/or provide the requested information within the required time period, the potential winner forfeits the prize. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason or forfeits the prize, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by a random drawing from among all of the remaining eligible entries. Only 3 alternate drawings will be held, after which the applicable prize or prizes will not be awarded.

Prizes

Quantity, Description, and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): 5 Grand Prizes: Each winner will receive one (1) BTC. As of June 6, 2025 (approximately 4pm ET), the value of 1 BTC is $104,305 as set forth at https://robinhood.com/us/en/crypto/BTC/.

THE VALUE OF BTC IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE, AND THEREFORE THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL RISK THAT IT COULD LOSE VALUE (POSSIBLY ALL VALUE) AS A RESULT OF BUYING, SELLING, OR HOLDING THE PRIZE OR AS A RESULT OF MARKET DEVELOPMENTS, LEGAL AND REGULATORY DEVELOPMENTS, OR OTHER FACTORS AFFECTING THE CRYPTOCURRENCY INDUSTRY.

Sponsor makes no guarantees, representations or warranties regarding the value of the BTC immediately after it is deposited to each winner’s Crypto Account, or its future value.

Total ARV: The total ARV of all available prizes in the Sweepstakes as of June 6, 2025 is $521,525. The value of these prizes at the time of prize fulfillment will vary from the values stated here.

Odds of Winning: The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

Additional Prize Terms: Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitution will be made except as provided in the Sponsor’s sole discretion if the prize should become unavailable. In this case, a prize of equal or greater value to the ARV provided in these Rules will be offered. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Each Grand Prize winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 as required by rules and regulations, reporting the actual value of the prize at the time it was deposited into each winner’s account. A winner is not entitled to any difference between the ARV stated in these Rules and the actual value of the prize at the time the prize is awarded. All other costs and expenses associated with acceptance of the prize that are not expressly set forth herein shall be solely the winner’s responsibility. Prizes will be fulfilled approximately 8-10 weeks after winner confirmation/conclusion of the Sweepstakes. Limit of 1 prize per household.

Release

By receipt of any prize, winners agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Administrator, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising, and promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies, and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss, or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance, use, inability to use, misuse, or redemption of a prize (including any injury or harm related thereto).

Publicity

Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes each winner’s consent to Sponsor’s and its agents’ use of winner’s name, prize information, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment, or consideration. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above-mentioned information or publicity materials but may do so and edit such information or materials at its sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.

General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes if any fraud, technical failures, human error, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, or any event or cause beyond Sponsor’s control (e.g. events such as natural calamities, national emergencies, widespread illnesses, declarations of war, acts of God, acts of terrorism) interferes with any aspect of the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to fulfillment of the prize(s), as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance and may modify the prizes offered herein. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to submitting fraudulent entries, or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this Sweepstakes or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In no event will more prizes than are stated in these Official Rules be awarded. If, for any reason, more prize notifications are sent (or more claims are received) than the number of prizes offered as set forth in these Official Rules, Sponsor reserves the right to award the intended number of prizes through a random drawing from among all eligible prize claims received. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between any other statements contained in any Sweepstakes-related materials and these Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control.

Limitations of Liability

The Released Parties are not responsible for:

  • Any incorrect or inaccurate information either caused by printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or provided by entrants;
  • Technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections to the internet, social media platforms, in phone lines or network hardware or software;
  • Unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to the entry process;
  • Technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to the processing of entries;
  • Late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail, delayed or misdirected entries, or failure to receive entries due to limitation of third-party social network platforms;
  • Undeliverable emails resulting from any errors or due to insufficient space in the user's account to receive an email.
  • Entries that are erroneously deleted, lost or destroyed or corrupted. In this case, entrants sole remedy is to take the required actions to receive another entry(s) in the Sweepstakes, if it is possible; or
  • Any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or to the receipt, use, inability to use or misuse of any prize.

Disputes

Except where prohibited, entrants agree that:

  • Sponsor and entrants agree to attempt informal resolution of any dispute arising in connection with these Terms prior to any demand for adjudication of any kind and to notify each other in writing of any such dispute within thirty (30) calendar days of when it arises. Notice to Sponsor shall be sent to support@robinhood.com. Sponsor and entrants further agree that if they cannot solve such dispute informally, any such dispute shall be finally settled in binding arbitration, on an individual basis, in accordance with the American Arbitration Association’s rules for arbitration of consumer-related disputes, and Sponsor and entrants hereby expressly waive trial by jury and right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class wide arbitration. The arbitration will occur, at entrant’s election, in the county of their domicile or in San Francisco, California and will be conducted confidentially by a single, neutral arbitrator. Sponsor agrees to bear their attorney’s fees, costs, and expenses, provided that entrants agree to pay the cost of the arbitration if Sponsor is the prevailing party in the arbitration. The arbitrator may award any relief that a court of competent jurisdiction could award, including attorneys’ fees when authorized by law, and the arbitral decision may be enforced in any court. Any dispute between the parties will be governed by this Agreement and the laws of the State of California and applicable United States law, without giving effect to any conflict of laws principles that may provide for the application of the law of another jurisdiction. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this section, Sponsor retains the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, database rights, and patents. In the event the prohibition on class arbitration or any other provision of this section is deemed invalid or unenforceable, then entrants agree and understand that the remaining portions of the arbitration provisions in this section will remain in full force and effect.
  • The state or federal courts in San Francisco, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any appeals of an arbitration award and over any suit between the parties not subject to arbitration, except that that such disputes, claims, and causes of actions that concern an Account shall be resolved pursuant to the pre-dispute arbitration clause in the RHC Customer Account Agreement;
  • Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and
  • Under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
  • All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction) which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.

Severability

If the application of any provision of these Official Rules to any particular facts or circumstances shall for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court, arbitration panel, or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction, then:

  • The validity, legality, and enforceability of such provision as applied to any other particular facts or circumstances and the other provisions of these Official Rules shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby; and
  • Such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible.

In addition, if any provision contained in these Official Rules shall for any reason be held to be excessively broad as to duration, geographical scope, activity, or subject, it shall be construed by limiting and reducing it so as to be enforceable to the extent compatible with applicable law.
