Using stock screeners

Filter and focus your search for new investments using stock screeners. Try a preset screener or create your own with filters, such as price change and volume, to easily find your next trade.

Choosing filters

If you create a custom screener, you can choose multiple filters to help zero in on a trade. You can choose from over 20 filters, including 52-week high/low, price change, volume, implied volatility, and more - add as many as you like!

Filters

  • Relative 52-week high/low: How close stocks are to their highest or lowest daily prices from the past year
  • New 52-week high/low: Stocks that have crossed their highest or lowest daily prices from the past year
  • Average volume: How many shares have traded on average each day over the past 30 days
  • Share price: The price of 1 share
  • Today’s volume: How many shares have been traded today
  • Market cap: A company’s size, calculated by multiplying its total number of issued shares by its stock price
  • Sector: The industry the stock is in (you can select multiple)
  • Shares outstanding: The total number of shares held by all investors
  • Analyst ratings: Ratings by analysts from independent research firms from the past 100 days
  • Dividend yield: How much the company pays in dividends relative to its share price
  • Price-to-earnings ratio: The value of a company’s stock relative to its earnings-per-share to help you compare similar companies
  • Earnings date: When companies release their quarterly earnings
  • Options availability: If the stock has options contracts
  • Implied volatility: The market’s perception of how much a stock’s price will change in the next 30 days
