Managing your personal information

We collect data so we can deliver financial services, provide content that’s more relevant to you, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations. For more details, review our Privacy Policy.

Personal data request

To request a download of your personal data:

  1. Select Account (person icon) → in app, select Menu (3 bars) or on the web, select Settings
  2. Select Security and privacyManage your data
  3. Select Request Personal DataDownload personal data. We’ll notify you by email once your request is complete and your download is available.

It may take a few weeks to prepare your download. Once it’s ready, your data will be available to download in the app for 30 days.

What's in the download

Personal information in the below categories will be included in the download. The following examples illustrate the types of data that we collect.

Data you provide

  • Personal information: May include your name, email address, physical address, date of birth, telephone number, citizenship, National Insurance number, number of dependents, and marital status.
  • Investment profile: Includes your personal details such as employment, marital status, number of dependents, and your investment and asset knowledge assessment results, and information related to marketing.

Data we collect automatically

Marketing interactions: Includes device identifiers (like IP address or mobile device identifiers), and ad campaign interactions.

Data from other sources

Data we generate: Your gender, inferred by your first name.

The download will not be an exhaustive list of personal information, and may be limited per applicable law. Review our Privacy Policy for the full list and to learn more about our privacy practices.

What's not in the download

In some cases, we do not provide all of the information that we process about you. For example, we may not include information where an exemption applies, personal data is legally privileged, or personal data is processed by a third party acting as a controller. We also exclude most personal data relating to other individuals.

Data deletion request

To make a data deletion request:

  1. Select Account (person icon) → in app, select Menu (3 bars) or on the web, select Settings
  2. Select Security and privacyManage your data
  3. Select Request Personal DataRequest data deletion. We’ll notify you by email once your request is complete and your data has been deleted.
Note

Making a request to delete data won’t delete or deactivate your Robinhood account.

What's deleted

We delete personal data when you submit a request. However, in some cases, we don't delete all personal data that we process about you. For example, we don't delete personal data where an exemption applies, personal data is legally privileged, personal data must be retained by law, or personal data is processed by a third party acting as a controller.

As explained in our Privacy Policy, we disclose personal data to other recipients (in particular to third parties who provide services to Robinhood). To the extent required, we advise certain third parties that we have deleted your data.
