Trusted devices
A trusted device is a device you've used before to sign in to your Robinhood account—it's a device we know is yours.
We automatically secure all Robinhood accounts with trusted devices, a form of two-factor authentication. With trusted devices, you’ll be required to enter a verification code when signing in from a new device, such as a new phone or laptop. By entering the code, you're verifying that you trust the new device.
With device approvals, we’ll send a notification to each of your mobile devices to verify it’s really you taking the action any time you update your account information or log in to Robinhood on a new device. You can either approve the notification to complete the action, or deny it to help secure your Robinhood account instantly.
Trusted devices help protect all Robinhood accounts with an extra layer of security.
You can view and manage the devices used to log in to your Robinhood account, and remove any you don’t recognise or no longer use. Keep in mind that the locations listed are approximate.
We strongly suggest reviewing and following our account security best practices for all your online accounts—especially for the email associated with your Robinhood account and phone provider.
