Security guarantee

As a safety first company, we are committed to keeping your Robinhood accounts protected. We use robust security measures and tools to protect your accounts. A reimbursement can include cash or assets held through Robinhood UK.

You must do the following to get coverage of direct losses caused by unauthorised account activity:

  • Don’t share account details. Keep account details and login credentials private and up-to-date, such as your Robinhood account login PIN, password, and username. You’re solely responsible for monitoring and safeguarding your account. If you give someone else your account login credentials, fail to keep them secure, or give someone authority to execute transactions on your account, any resulting activity on your account may be considered authorised by you. For details, check out Verifying it's you and Security best practices.

  • Keep devices secure. Ensure the safety and security of any devices with access to your account, such as a mobile device or computer. Monitor for unusual activity, enable your devices’ passcode, PIN, and biometric login (if available), and keep them safe and private at all times. For details, review Two-factor authentication, Device approvals, Device monitoring, Trusted devices, and Passkeys.

  • Don’t allow or give anyone remote access to your device (mobile device or computer) or your Robinhood account. You’re solely responsible for access to your account. Any resulting activity may be considered authorised by you.

  • Contact Robinhood Support immediately via the app or website if you lose a device with account access, or if you notice any unusual logins or activity you don’t recognize. We require your active cooperation during any review. Review Take action and report for instructions on how to secure your account, like remove unknown devices, change your password immediately, and enable two-factor authentication.

  • Don't search for or call us with Robinhood phone numbers found through an internet browser because they are potentially scams. Always contact us within your account.

  • Don’t open suspicious links. If you receive any communications about your Robinhood account, check in the Robinhood app to confirm its authenticity. How to identify and report scams has details about common scams, how to stay safe, and how to report them to us.

  • Be careful who you send money to. Any transactions or activity initiated by you will be considered authorized.

Keep in mind
  • Robinhood won’t reimburse customers when their actions facilitated or enabled unauthorized account activity.
  • Robinhood won’t offer any reimbursement to customers who have fallen victim to a scam if a fraud investigation determines that the customer conducted the activity or provided support to the party that performed the activity.
  • Robinhood doesn’t restrict any rights or protections under Regulation E for eligible transactions.
