Why can’t I use my Instant Deposits?
If your incoming bank deposit reverses, you’ll need to make another deposit to cover any purchase(s) you made using instant deposits as soon as possible. Because we allow instant buying power on the good faith that your transfers will go through, you won’t have access to instant buying power for at least 30 days after a transfer reversal. If your instant deposits get restricted, you can check the Instant Deposits Health section of the Account Overview for steps on how to regain access.
If you deposit more funds than your instant deposit limit, you’ll only get instant availability up to your limit. This means that you’ll have to wait five business days for the additional funds over your limit to clear.
With Robinhood Gold, your instant deposit limit is based on your account balance:
Without Robinhood Gold, you get $1,000 in instant deposits, regardless of the value of your account. You can always track your instant deposit limit in the Instant Deposit Health section of the Account Overview.
For example, if you are a Gold customer and have $3,000 in your brokerage account and you don't have Robinhood Gold, your Instant Deposit limit will be $1,000. If you make a $6,000 deposit from your bank, $1,000 of the new funds will be available instantly. The remaining $5,000 will become available in up to five business days.
