Device approvals add an extra layer of security to your Robinhood account. Any time someone tries to log in with a new device, we will notify your mobile devices to verify it’s really you taking the action. You can either approve the notification to complete the action, or deny it to block the action and secure your account instantly.

In some cases, you may need to complete additional identity verification steps to ensure your account’s security. These measures are designed to protect your account and keep it safe. Verifying it’s you has more details.

If you receive an unexpected notification on your device and it isn’t you taking the action:

1. Review the activity and select Deny to block the attempt
2. Immediately change your password
3. Reach out to support to remove any devices associated with your account that you do not recognize

• After you log in with your password and an SMS code, your device is linked to your account for up to 180 days.
• On a linked device, you use Face ID or your PIN to return to the app and to confirm withdrawals.
• After 180 days, or if you are logged out, you will need to log in again with your password and an SMS code.
• When you confirm a withdrawal, the app creates a one-time authorization for that exact amount and recipient, so it cannot be reused for a different transfer.
