Privacy settings

You can manage your privacy preferences, such as password and device security, in the app in SettingsSecurity and privacy.

Change my password

If you are logged into your Robinhood Crypto account, you can easily change your password. When creating a new password, make sure it is at least 10 characters and is not a password that you have recently used.

  1. Select Account (person icon) → Security and privacyChange password
  2. Enter your current account password
  3. Enter a new password
  4. Re-enter new password
  5. Select Submit

2-factor authentication

2-factor authentication (2FA) helps protect your Robinhood Crypto account by requiring two sources of verification to sign in: something you know (your password) and something you have (your mobile device). Every time you log in or make changes to your Robinhood Crypto account, you will get a request for a verification code.

All Robinhood Crypto accounts are protected with 2FA for new devices. This is a layer of security applied to all Robinhood Crypto accounts to keep your Robinhood Crypto account secure.

How it works

2FA can verify your identity by SMS. You will get a one-time code sent through SMS on your mobile device.

How to enable 2FA

Using SMS

To turn on 2FA in your Robinhood Crypto app using SMS:

  1. Select Account (person icon)
  2. Select Security and privacy
  3. Select 2-factor authentication
  4. Select SMS
  5. Check your SMS messages and copy the verification code from Robinhood Crypto
  6. Paste the code into your Robinhood Crypto app, and select Continue
