Robinhood Wallet

Before you begin

Robinhood Wallet is a separate app from the Robinhood app. Download the Robinhood Wallet app for iOS or Android.

The Robinhood Wallet app is a self-custody wallet that’s your portal to web3 where you can store and manage your crypto on the Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Dogecoin, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, and Base networks. Robinhood Wallet gives you full control over your crypto, which means you hold the private keys to your assets.

Create a new wallet

iOS or Android

  1. Select Create new wallet
  2. Select one of the following ways to secure it:
  • Use Face ID/biometrics (recommended)
  • Create a custom PIN
  1. Select an option to back up your wallet:
  • Back it up to iCloud
  • Back it up to Google Drive
  • Back it up manually
  • Remind me later to back it up later
  1. Select Turn on notifications or Maybe later to turn on later
  2. Select Let's go to finish setup

We strongly recommend backing up your wallet because it's the only way you can recover your wallet and crypto if you lose or reset your device. If you don’t back up your wallet when you create it, you can do it later in Backups & security. For step-by-step instructions, check out back up your wallet.

Import your existing wallet

Import your existing wallet

You can import an existing Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Dogecoin, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, or Base wallet to Robinhood Wallet by using your existing wallet’s secret recovery phrase.

iOS or Android

  1. Select Import wallet
  2. You can either copy and paste, or manually enter your secret recovery phrase
  3. Select Import, then Continue
  4. Choose how to secure it:
  • Use Face/biometrics (recommended)
  • Create custom PIN
  1. Select an option to back up your wallet:
  • Back it up to iCloud
  • Back it up to Google Drive
  • Back it up manually
  • Remind me later to back it up later
  1. Select Turn on notifications or Maybe later to turn on later
  2. Select Let's go to finish setup
Note

Currently, you can’t choose additional addresses to import from an Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, or Base secret recovery phrase, but we’re working on supporting this in the future.

Important

Only import a secret recovery phrase that you created yourself. If anyone, including someone claiming to be a Robinhood employee, gives you a phrase to import, it's a scam. We'll never provide you with a recovery phrase to import.

Recover your wallet

Recover your wallet

If you backed up a wallet to your iCloud or Google Drive in the past, you can recover it.

iOS or Android

  1. Select Import or recover wallet
  2. Select Recover wallet from iCloud or Recover wallet from Google Drive
  3. Enter the password to unlock your backup
  4. Select Recover wallet, then Continue
  5. Choose your security option:
  • Use Face/biometrics (recommended)
  • Create a custom PIN
  1. Select Continue
