Agentic Credit Card
Setting up a Robinhood Agentic Credit Card account offers you more opportunities to automate your spending. You’ll first need to connect a third-party AI agent and then follow the on-screen steps to create your agentic virtual card through the Robinhood Banking MCP (Model Context Protocol).
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI agents connect to external apps and services. Instead of just answering questions, an AI with MCP access can take actions on your behalf.
Your agent can safely and securely fetch agentic virtual card details, view spending history on the agentic virtual card, and view the settings of the agentic virtual card. The Robinhood Banking MCP will not browse the internet for you nor find things for you to buy. Instead, it provides the card number for your agent to complete purchases on your behalf. Your agent will need to get to the point of checkout on its own with your existing setup for it to fetch the card details from the Robinhood Banking MCP.
When you connect your AI agent to the Robinhood Banking MCP, it will have read access to the following:
Your agent can only access the details of the agentic virtual cards you authorize. It can’t access or view anything else across your Robinhood account.
Before you can create your agentic credit card, you’ll need to choose an agentic AI platform that works with the Robinhood Banking MCP. Once you’re set up on a platform, follow the applicable instructions to connect the Robinhood Banking MCP.

A Robinhood Agentic Credit Card is a type of virtual card in your Robinhood Gold Card. To create an Agentic Credit card, complete the onboarding that auto-opens after you connect to the Robinhood Banking MCP.
To create a card for your agent to use:
We offer 2 settings for your Agentic Credit Card, approving purchases and monthly limits. If you choose to approve each purchase, before the agent buys something, you’ll be notified and asked to approve the purchase in the Robinhood Banking app. Monthly limits are required if you choose not to approve each purchase. After agentic card creation, you can edit these settings in the Robinhood Banking app.
You can only create an agentic credit card and authenticate your agent on a desktop device. If you’re connecting to the Robinhood Banking MCP on a mobile device, copy the onboarding URL and open it in a desktop browser.
You’re ultimately responsible for the purchases your AI agent makes. With the option and ability to approve each purchase before it happens, you maintain complete control. Choosing to turn that off and proceed with the monthly limit only is your decision. You set the rules, the agent operates within them.
When entering and submitting your instructions via an external AI Agent, you are authorizing the AI Agent to conduct transactions on your behalf and you are solely responsible for any transactions made on your account pursuant to such instructions. You are solely responsible for each transaction, including reviewing and verifying all the details of instructions you submit through your AI Agent.
