How can I join the waitlist?

There are 2 ways you can join the waitlist:

  • Sign up for the waitlist on the web
  • Join directly in the Robinhood app
    • You’ll see a notification in the Brokerage tab about the Robinhood Gold Credit Card with an option to join the waitlist. Since you already have a Robinhood account, you’ll automatically be added to the waitlist when you select Join the waitlist.
I’m having trouble signing up for the waitlist, what do I do?

If you’re having trouble with the following, contact Robinhood Support:

  • Can’t download the Robinhood app
  • Robinhood account sign up, including trouble signing in and ID verification

If you’ve already tried to join the waitlist and the Spending tab hasn’t updated, first sign out, make sure you’re on the latest version of the app, and sign back in. If you still don’t see confirmation that you have joined the waitlist after completing these steps, try joining the waitlist again.

If you’ve followed the steps outlined above and you’re still having trouble joining the waitlist, contact Robinhood Credit support at goldcard@robinhood.com.

How can I confirm I'm on the waitlist?

When you first join the waitlist, you’ll be sent a confirmation email. You can also check on your status directly in the Robinhood app. In the app, go to Spending to confirm that you have joined the waitlist. You should see a gold check mark with the confirmation “You’re on the waitlist.” If you joined the waitlist online, you need to download the Robinhood app to view your waitlist status. However, you won’t be able to view your place on the waitlist.

If you have a Spending account and you don’t see the Spending tab update to confirm your waitlist status, make sure you’ve funded your Spending account and completed the onboarding checklist. Once completed the Spending tab will update to confirm your waitlist status and allow you to send referral invites.

Once you’re off the waitlist, you’ll receive an email and a notification from the Robinhood app confirming you can apply for the Gold Card. You can apply directly from the homepage or go to Spending.

How can I get priority access to the Gold Card?

All Robinhood Gold members will receive priority access to the Robinhood Gold Card. If you’re already a Robinhood Gold member, you’ll see confirmation of your priority status in Spending in the app immediately after you sign up for the waitlist. This notification will only be shown one time. Rest assured, as long as you have a Robinhood Gold membership, you’ll get priority access.

If you’re not a Robinhood Gold member yet, when you sign up for the waitlist you can select Continue on your waitlist confirmation page to learn how to sign up for Robinhood Gold. Try Robinhood Gold allows you to sign up for Robinhood Gold directly in the app. Once complete, your waitlist status will be promoted to priority.

Gold members receive priority access to get off the waitlist. Everyone else will receive access in the order they signed up.

How do referrals work?

If you refer 10 friends who sign up for both the Robinhood Gold Card Waitlist and then Robinhood Gold, you can earn the solid gold Robinhood Gold Card—weighing 36g and made from real 10K gold. After you join the waitlist, you can refer anyone to upgrade to Robinhood Gold within the Robinhood app. To refer someone, go to SpendingInvite friends. This allows you to send an invite link directly to your referral. Please note that your referral will first need to join the Robinhood Gold Card Waitlist before upgrading to Robinhood Gold. The email used to join the waitlist will need to be the same email associated with their Robinhood account to be accurately tracked.

After joining the waitlist, your referral will see the option to upgrade to Robinhood Gold directly in their Robinhood app. If they're not a Robinhood customer yet, they will be able to join Robinhood and then upgrade to Gold directly from the waitlist sign up page. Note that they will need to use the same email they used to sign up for the waitlist to create their Robinhood account. A referral is counted once your referee joins the Gold Card Waitlist, upgrades to Robinhood Gold, and makes their first Gold subscription payment.

When there is a change with any of your referrals’ status, you’ll receive an email notification update. This will include how many referrals have upgraded to Gold, and how many referrals have paid their first subscription fee. This allows you to stay updated with your progress towards 10 Gold referrals. Terms apply.

How do I get the Robinhood Gold Card?

First, join the Gold Card waitlist. When you’re selected to apply, you’ll receive an email and push notification from the Robinhood app as well as see your eligibility to apply in the Spending tab. Just click the link from your invite to start your application. If you have any questions during the application process, you can contact the credit team directly within your application.

Is there an annual fee?

There’s no annual fee for the Robinhood Gold Card, however, the card is only available to Robinhood Gold members. If you don’t currently have a Robinhood Gold membership when you apply for the card, once your credit application is approved, you’ll confirm the upgrade to Gold (including the annual fee) when you accept the terms and conditions of the card. This fee will be charged to your Robinhood Gold credit card within your first billing cycle. If you already have a Gold membership, we’ll refund a prorated fee for your current subscription and then charge the fee to your Gold Card. Learn more about Robinhood Gold.
