Robinhood Social
Robinhood Social is a forum within the Robinhood app where you can connect with other users and keep up with what’s happening across the markets, finance, investing, and related topics. After activating Social and completing your profile, you can:
Robinhood Social gives you a new way to discover market activity, share your perspective, and stay connected to the people and market activity you care about.
Some people aren’t eligible for and can’t use Robinhood Social, including Securities licensed professionals, people associated with a regulated financial institution, or Robinhood employees. Robinhood Social is only available in the US at this time.
If you’re eligible, you can activate your account as soon as Robinhood Social is available in your account. You’ll know it's available when the Social icon is shown on the bottom of your app. You’ll be required to complete the onboarding flow and agree to the Robinhood Social Agreement. You’ll then be prompted to set up your profile with your new Robinhood Social account.
You are required to have a unique profile with a username. Your profile is public to all Robinhood Social users and can also be shared off-platform. While only a username is required, you can personalize your profile with a profile picture and bio, and many users choose anonymized usernames.
Your profile also includes your Robinhood join date, post feed history, and follower and following counts. Trading stats are optional and can be turned off, though sharing them can help build trust and transparency within the Robinhood Social community.
Profile performance displays three unique stats for each profile:
The 1Y and 1D P&L stats will match what’s shown on your portfolio returns chart, which incorporates both deposits and withdrawals.
The profit rate shown on your profile is based on the prior month’s trading activity. It is calculated by dividing the total number of profitable trades by the number of total trades, and then multiplying that number by 100 to get a percentage.
For example, let’s say you placed 20 trades last month and 12 of them are profitable: 12 / 20 = 0.6 * 100 = 60%
The For You feed is personalized based on the content you interact with on Robinhood Social. Rather than showing only the newest or most popular posts, the feed is designed to surface posts that may be relevant to you.
When you open your For You feed, posts may come from several sources, including popular posts across Social, recent posts, and posts from people you follow. Your feed then considers several factors when deciding what to show you, including:
Your For You feed is unique to you, so you may see different posts than another person using Social at the same time. As you use Social and interact with posts through reactions, comments, and follows, your feed can better personalize the content you see.
Robinhood Social is built to surface useful market content from across the community, including trades, market insights, and conversations from other users and popular market voices.
We will be introducing verified accounts that receive a verified badge in the coming months as part of our transition away from creator accounts.
Some accounts on Robinhood Social will display a verified badge. A verified badge means Robinhood has confirmed that the account belongs to the person or organization it claims to represent. Verification isn't an endorsement of the account, its content, or its trades, and it doesn't give the account special features or affect how its content is ranked in your feed.
Verification can't be purchased, and Robinhood doesn't offer paid promotion, sponsored accounts, or paid placement on Social. Content is surfaced based on what's relevant and engaging, not because someone paid for additional reach.
Automated accounts make up a small fraction of accounts on Robinhood Social and are always clearly identified with a robot icon and a “Bot” label. For example, a bot may automatically post politicians’ publicly available trades as they are disclosed. If an account does not have the Bot label, it is not an automated account.
You can follow other users on Robinhood Social to keep up with the content they share. Posts from people you follow will appear in your Following feed and may also appear in your For You feed.
You can also block another user at any time by selecting the ... menu on one of their posts and choosing the option to block them. You can view and manage users you've blocked, including unblocking them, from your Social settings.
Use the search icon in the top-right corner of the feed to find a specific user or posts related to a symbol. You can also select a ticker tagged in a post, such as $ABCD, to see other Social posts related to that symbol.

You can manage or turn off these notifications from your Social settings at any time.
Trades you place are not automatically shared to your Social feed. You can choose to manually post eligible trades after your trade confirmation, directly from Social, or from your History, and add your own commentary to the post.
Eligible trade posts automatically include applicable trade details, such as the quantity bought or sold, strike price, and a gain/loss indicator. You can also share a chart, your P&L, your portfolio breakdown, or create a post that tags a symbol or other Social users.
At this time, free-form posts without a symbol tag aren't supported, and only select accounts can post images or links. Multi-leg options, futures, select event contracts (including spreads, totals, and player props), and trades made outside of your primary brokerage account aren't currently eligible to be posted. Posts and comments are limited to 600 characters or less.
You can deactivate your Robinhood Social account at any time. Upon deactivation, your profile, posts, likes and comments will be hidden unless you reactivate. Note that deactivated accounts will have a 3-year reactivation window. Accounts that are reactivated within the 3-year period will keep historical content and account information.
If you choose to delete your account instead of deactivating it, your account profile information, historical content, and followers will not be saved and cannot be accessed. You’ll need to start over with a new Robinhood Social account. Deleting your Robinhood Social account does not impact or delete your Robinhood Brokerage account.
