Robinhood Connect
Robinhood Connect is an easy way to trade and transfer crypto directly to and from self-custody wallets and dapps. You can make fast purchases with low fees using your debit card, bank account, or Robinhood account.
Robinhood Connect offers the same list of coins that are currently supported by Robinhood Crypto. Not all coins are available in every state and may be subject to regulatory approval in certain states. Coin availability is also dependent on the crypto assets supported by the self-custody wallet or dapp.
You can transfer crypto directly from your Robinhood Crypto account to your wallet with no Robinhood fee — only network fees. Additionally, you can use your existing individual buying power to purchase crypto without any Robinhood fees.

If you're new to Robinhood, you can sign up through Robinhood Connect. You can then purchase crypto using a debit card via the Robinhood individual investing account and Robinhood Crypto account you created. Follow these steps to get started:
After your accounts are created, you’ll need to verify your account by uploading a photo of your ID and taking a selfie photo. Next, you’ll be prompted to link a debit card. Review your order and confirm your wallet address is correct and then select Continue.
* If you don’t have an individual investing account, you will need to open an account to sell crypto.
Once your deposit lands, you may be prompted to secure your account by verifying account information, this may also include uploading a photo of your ID.
Network fees are charges associated with processing certain crypto transactions, which are typically paid to miners for their services. This fee isn't charged by Robinhood.
Every Robinhood Connect on-chain crypto transaction incurs a network fee—sometimes called a miner fee or gas fee. The fee amount depends on, among other things, the coin and how many other transactions are happening on the coin’s network. For more information, review transfer limits and fees.
This fee covers the following transaction costs for Robinhood Connect as listed on the Robinhood Crypto Fee Schedule.
Robinhood Connect fees are calculated at the time you place your order and can be influenced by factors such as your chosen payment method, the participating dApp, and other costs we incur to facilitate your transaction. You can view the fees in the review order screen before submitting your transaction.
Participating platforms may charge a transaction fee, which is shown on the Robinhood Connect review screen. Robinhood doesn't keep any part of this fee.
The timeframe for transferring your crypto to and from your wallet depends on a few factors, including the payment method you used (bank account or debit card), and network conditions. Learn more about transfer times in Crypto transfers.
The number of confirmations may vary depending on, among other things, network conditions. Under ordinary conditions, this process can take up to a few hours. We also review each transfer for security and safety reasons, which typically takes just a few minutes but on rare occasions it could take longer. We'll let you know in the app as soon as your crypto is available.
Once you submit your order, you’ll be directed to an order status screen. This provides real-time updates on the progress of your order. You’ll see when your order has been submitted, confirmed, when it is in the process of transferring, and when it is complete. To review the details of your order, select View order details.
We’ll promptly notify you as soon as your crypto transfer is initiated.
For off ramp, we require a certain number of network confirmations before crypto is credited to your Robinhood account.
There are a number of reasons why an order may not successfully be completed.
To help protect our customers from potential price volatility, Robinhood automatically converts Robinhood Connect sell orders into limit orders by using a 2% price collar. The price must be within 2% of the originally displayed estimated price to execute, and you’ll be notified if the price was deemed to be outside of these bounds.

No, you can’t use margin to purchase crypto.
Robinhood Connect is currently available in all US states, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia, with the exception of New York. If you're a resident of North Carolina, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico, you must have a brokerage account to utilize Robinhood Connect. Furthermore, residents of North Carolina, can only execute transactions using your Robinhood buying power via Robinhood Connect.
This option is only available for Robinhood Crypto customers who also have a Robinhood investing account. If you have a Robinhood investing account, you can place crypto orders or transfer your crypto through Robinhood Crypto on the Robinhood app or website.
