Robinhood Connect

Robinhood Connect is an easy way to buy and transfer crypto directly to self-custody wallets and dapps. You can make fast purchases with low fees using your debit card, bank account, or Robinhood account.

Supported crypto assets

Robinhood Connect offers the same list of coins that are currently supported by Robinhood Crypto. Not all coins are available in every state and may be subject to regulatory approval in certain states. Coin availability is also dependent on the crypto assets supported by the self-custody wallet or dapp.

FAQ

How long do transactions take through Robinhood Connect?

The timeframe for transferring your crypto to and from your wallet depends on a few factors, including the payment method you used (bank account or debit card), and network conditions. Learn more about transfer times in Crypto transfers.

We require a certain number of network confirmations before crypto is credited to your Robinhood account. The number of confirmations may vary depending on, among other things, network conditions. Under ordinary conditions, this process can take up to a few hours. We also review each transfer for security and safety reasons, which typically takes just a few minutes but on rare occasions it could take longer. We'll let you know in the app as soon as your crypto is available.

Once you submit your order, you’ll be directed to an order status screen. This provides real-time updates on the progress of your order. You’ll see when your order has been submitted, confirmed, when it is in the process of transferring, and when it is complete. To review the details of your order, select View order details.

We’ll promptly notify you as soon as your crypto transfer is initiated.

Why did my Robinhood Connect crypto sell order not take place?

There are a number of reasons why an order may not successfully be completed.

To help protect our customers from potential price volatility, Robinhood automatically converts Robinhood Connect sell orders into limit orders by using a 2% price collar. The price must be within 2% of the originally displayed estimated price to execute, and you’ll be notified if the price was deemed to be outside of these bounds.

Why was my Robinhood Connect crypto purchase rejected?

The most common reasons a purchase may be rejected:

  • Your order is greater than your Robinhood buying power
  • Insufficient funds for your bank account
  • Insufficient funds for your debit card account

Why is my transaction pending, unconfirmed, or failed?

A number of reasons can cause issues with your transaction, such as:

  • You haven’t signed the transfer confirmation in the originating dapp
  • Crypto transfer network congestion
