Rewards

The Robinhood Gold Credit Card offers an incredible rewards program. By default, cardholders earn 3x points on purchases, regardless of the category! You can earn up to 5x points on select purchases by completing transactions using the Robinhood Credit Travel Portal when you pay using your Gold Card instead of your points. Learn more in RewardsTravel.

Redeem points

You can redeem points at any time by going to the Rewards tab in your Credit Card app. You can view your current point balance and choose from our 4 available redemption options. After completing your point redemption, you’ll see the redemption details in your transaction history on the home screen of the app.

Note

Point redemptions can’t be reversed or canceled after they have been initiated.

We offer different options for redeeming points earned on your Robinhood Gold Credit Card, including but not limited to:

Card upgrade

Solid Gold Card and 24k Gold Card

We offer 2 premium Gold Cards:

  • Solid Gold Card: Contains 36g of real 10k Gold, costs 850,000 points to reserve, comes with a custom wallet featuring the Robinhood logo made with premium leather
  • 24k Gold Card: Weighs 27g and has real 24k Gold plating, costs 100,000 points to reserve

To reserve a card, use your current points (even if you don’t have enough yet). After you reserve it, all future points will go toward the upgrade and can’t be used for other rewards. Once your goal is met, you’ll be prompted to start shipment. If you’d like, you can cancel your reservation in the app before shipment begins.

  • Eligibility: Primary cardholders only (not authorized users)
  • Lost or damaged card: A replacement will be a standard metal card, not another premium card
  • Payments: No Tap to Pay, you’ll need to insert or swipe to pay
  • Visa benefit level: Visa Signature

Rose Gold Card

For 7,500 points, you can upgrade your Gold Card (or your authorized users’ Gold Card) to the limited edition Rose Gold Card, while supplies last.

Authorized user card upgrade

As the primary cardholder, you can choose to upgrade your authorized users’ card to a metal card or a Rose Gold Card. For the metal card, you can now choose to either pay $40 to upgrade, or spend 5,000 points. For the Rose Gold Card, you can choose to spend 7,500 points.

Note

Solid Gold cardholders and their authorized users aren’t eligible to upgrade to a Rose Gold Card.

Statement credit

You can redeem your points for statement credit. When you select this option, you can choose a preset redemption amount for faster redemptions or input a custom amount. Once selected, it will open up the statement credit redemption flow to confirm. The value of points redeemed for statement credit is less than $0.01 per point. Check out the Robinhood Credit Card app for details.

Note

The minimum payment due can't be paid down with points.

Mystery box

For 1,000 points, you can open a mystery box to earn a reward! There may be a limit on how many times you can open the Mystery Box per day. Check out the Robinhood Credit Card app for details.

Here are some of the possible rewards you could earn in your mystery box:

  • 10,000, 7,500, 5,000, 2,500, 1,500 or 1,250 points

Save on gas with points

Gas with Points allows Gold Card customers to get discounts on fuel at the following participating gas stations:

How it works

You must have a minimum of 1,450 points. You can redeem $0.50 off per gallon, up to 20 gallons per transaction, for 1,450 points. To earn points, just swipe your card at a participating gas station.

You’ll get the offer at a gas pump terminal that says: 1,450 Robinhood pts = $0.50 off per gallon up to 20 gallons. To redeem points for gas, just select Yes on the gas pump terminal to accept the offer.

After you finish pumping gas, you’ll get a notification about redeeming points for gas and a receipt that shows you paid with points. It also shows the amount you saved on the transaction by using points.

Note

Only primary cardholders and full partner authorized users can redeem points for discounts on fuel. Note that if you choose to redeem points using this method, the value of your points may be less than $0.01 per point.

Amazon shop with points

Robinhood Gold Card customers can now redeem rewards points directly when shopping on Amazon. Here’s how it works:

  1. Link your Robinhood Gold Card to your Amazon account
  2. At checkout, select your Robinhood Gold Card as the payment method
  3. Toggle on Use Robinhood rewards points to apply points toward your purchase

You can redeem any amount of available points. If you don't have enough points to cover the full purchase, the remainder will be charged to your Gold Card. Amazon point purchases will appear as a $0 transaction in the Transactions tab. Note that if you choose to redeem points using this method, the value of your points is less than $0.01 per point.

To link your Gold Card and start using your points, go to the Rewards tab in the Credit Card app and select Shop with Points. This will direct you to Amazon to then add your Gold Card as one of the payment options. During checkout you will then see the option to pay using points.

Note

Robinhood can’t issue refunds. Refunds for purchases made with points will be processed by Amazon and you’ll need to contact them directly for issues with points. If Amazon issues a refund, points will be returned to your Robinhood Reward balance after the refund has been processed.

Brokerage cash back

You can earn a 4% APY on your cash back once it’s transferred to your Robinhood investing account and you’re enrolled in the cash sweep program! Your points earned can be converted to cash that is directly transferred into your Robinhood investing account. Because all Gold cardholders have a Gold subscription, with the cash sweep program, you can earn a 4% APY on your uninvested cash in your investing account. For more details and how to enroll, check out Brokerage cash sweep program interest rate (APY).

The redemption rate for this option is $0.01 per point and you can choose to transfer any amount of available points as brokerage cash back. Once transferred, you can view this transfer history in the Robinhood app listed as Cash back reward from Robinhood credit card. You’ll also receive a confirmation email titled Your cash back redemption is complete. Select View transfer details to review your cash back in the Robinhood app.

Cash back never expires and stays as cash within your investing account to be used however you like. All cash back point redemptions are non-reversible. Once cash back point redemptions are initiated, we’re unable to refund them.

All cardholders need to have an individual investing account to access their cash back. If you don’t have one, you’ll first be prompted to open an individual investing account in the Robinhood app before being able to use the cash back feature in the Credit Card app. Cash back point redemption is only available for primary cardholders.

For more information about the benefits of Robinhood Gold and the potential APY you can earn from your Cash Back redemptions, check out Robinhood Gold.

Lounge passes

You can redeem 5,000 points for lounge passes at participating airports. In the Points tab, by selecting Lounge Pass, you’ll be able to search for a lounge by the airport. From there, you can select the specific desired lounge, view the services provided, add travelers, and purchase the pass with points. The lounge pass will be instantly available to use and will never expire.

Check directly with the specific lounge for their re-entry requirements. Some lounges may allow re-entry within a designated time frame, while others may not. Additionally, adding each extra traveler will require 5,000 points per person.

Robinhood merch

You can use your points to purchase exclusive Robinhood merch in the Rewards tab (while supplies last).

Gift cards

You can use your points to purchase gift cards for select merchants using your points. Simply choose the merchant that you’d like to purchase a gift card with from our merchant list. Next, choose the gift card value from our list of pre-set options or by adding a custom amount. You’ll see how many points you’ll be redeeming to complete the purchase, confirm, and complete your gift card purchase.

Our point redemption rate for gift cards is $0.01 per point. If you don’t have enough points to complete your gift card purchase, you’ll be notified in the app. To complete your gift card purchase, you'll need to select a gift card amount that is equal to or less than your current point balance value.

After you've purchased your gift card, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your gift card details. You can view this gift card and other previously created gift cards by going to PointsGift cardsView all. You can also add your gift cards to your mobile wallet or send your gift cards to anyone by selecting Share when viewing your card.

All gift cards will only be shared virtually and you won’t receive a physical copy of your gift card. Your gift card’s transaction information won’t appear in your Robinhood Credit app and similarly, your gift card balance won’t update as you make transactions. The app will only show the original gift card amount, merchant name, and card details. If you delete a gift card from the Gift cards section in the app, you can’t add it back.

Travel

Cardholders can earn 4% cash back if they book through the Travel Portal using their Robinhood Gold Card without using points. You can purchase flights and hotels using your points or your Robinhood Gold Card. You’ll only earn 4% cash back when you use your Gold Card, and not from point redemption.

Within the portal, you can search for flights and hotels. When searching for flights, your home airport will auto-populate initially. You can edit all fields to search for flights anywhere in the world!

When completing purchases, you can choose to pay with your points at a redemption rate of $0.01 per point, pay with your Gold Card for 5X points, or use both points and your Gold Card to complete the transaction. Your Gold Card details will be available at the bottom of the portal page when checking out. You can also view your current points total and the value in dollars at the bottom of the portal page.

Note that you have to enter your Robinhood Gold Card details when checking out for us to be able to track this purchase, even if you’ll be completing your purchase using only points. Without entering your card details, we won’t have a way to record your point redemption and update your account after the transaction is complete. With this in mind, you’ll be prompted to enter your primary card details or choose the virtual card that you’d like to use to complete your transaction. You’ll also be informed if you have enough points to complete the purchase without using your credit or if part of your purchase total will be charged to your Credit account. You’ll only see your points redeemed once your purchase is complete, and this can be found in your transaction history in the app. If your purchase was split between point redemption and using your available credit, you’ll see 2 transactions in your transaction list.

If the purchase is made within the Travel Portal but you input other payment methods or card details outside of your Robinhood Gold Card, we won’t be able to track this purchase and your points won’t be redeemed. Additionally, you won’t be able to see the transaction details within your Robinhood Credit app and you won’t receive 4% cash back on that purchase. Instead the card that you entered will be charged and you’ll receive confirmation of your purchase via whatever means you normally do for that payment method.
