To Catch a Token

At Robinhood Presents: To Catch a Token, we announced major new products including:

  • Stock tokens (EU only): Robinhood Europe is launching stock tokens, which follow the prices of publicly-traded stocks and ETFs. They're derivatives tracked on the blockchain, giving European customers exposure to the US market.
  • Perpetual futures (EU only): Crypto perpetual futures give advanced traders more ways to trade—so they can try to capitalize on any market condition by reacting quickly when prices move, with leverage available. Perpetual futures traders are not trading actual crypto; they are trading contracts that track crypto prices. These contracts never expire, so traders can adjust their strategy over time. Unlike traditional futures contracts, which have set expiry dates, perpetuals can be held indefinitely as long as margin requirements are met.
  • Crypto staking: Now available in the US, staking crypto helps to secure the network and maintain its functionality. In return, the network provides rewards of additional crypto or a share of the transaction fees generated within the network. Learn more about staking crypto.

Other exciting 2025 launches:

  • Crypto on Robinhood Legend: Giving active traders access to more powerful and intuitive tools, including professional-style charting, execution tools, and customization options.
  • Crypto tax lots: You get to choose which crypto lots to sell to help manage your gains, losses, and tax impact more effectively.
  • Smart Exchange Routing: Evaluates multiple partner exchanges and routes your order to try to get the best available price across them. For a limited time, all orders placed through Smart Exchange Routing will qualify for fee tiers, meaning the more you trade, the lower your rate— based on your trailing 30-day trading volume. API support is coming soon. Learn more about Smart Exchange Routing and fee tiers.

Also coming soon:

  • Crypto credit card rewards: The Robinhood Gold Credit Card gives US customers cash back on purchases—across all categories. Coming this fall, customers can use those rewards to purchase crypto automatically.
  • Cortex for Crypto: Our US feature, Cortex, an AI-powered investing assistant, will be available later this year. Robinhood Gold members can see curated insights, trends, and event-driven market analysis right inside each token’s detail page. It’s designed to help customers quickly understand price movement and market shifts in real time.
  • Advanced charts: Advanced charts from Robinhood Legend are coming to mobile, starting with equities and expanding to crypto.
  • The Robinhood Chain: Robinhood is developing an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain optimized for tokenized real-world assets and built to support 24/7 trading, seamless bridging, and self-custody.

Each product has its own benefits and risks, so be sure to explore them fully before you get started. US stock and ETF tokens and crypto perpetual futures trading involves significant risk and is not appropriate for all investors. Restrictions and eligibility requirements apply.
