How to prevent bank transfer reversals
Transfer reversals are no fun, so we want to help make sure your funds make it into your account.
An ACH reversal can happen when a scheduled transfer gets canceled. Reversals can happen for a number reasons, including:
To prevent reversals, we recommend confirming the following about your bank account before initiating transfers to Robinhood:
You can check how much cash you can withdraw from your Robinhood account in Account Summary.
If a transfer into Robinhood is reversed, we’ll send you a notification email. With reversals, any Instant Deposit received with the transfer will be removed from your Robinhood account balance.
For some reversals, we might also unlink your bank account. Check out Link your accounts for details on how to relink your bank account.
Stopped payments may also require additional documentation to avoid account closure.
