Get started with the Robinhood Platinum Card
When you sign up and apply for the Robinhood Platinum Card, your new accounts and features will automatically show up in your Banking app. Both Robinhood Banking and the Robinhood Platinum Card will be accessible within one app: the Robinhood Banking app.
Robinhood Banking is an app-based alternative to traditional banking that offers checking and savings accounts, different transfer capabilities, integrated perks, family banking features, and more. For more information, check out Robinhood Banking and download the Robinhood Banking app for iOS or Android.
When you use the Robinhood Banking app for the first time, you’ll be prompted to verify your phone number and email address and choose your notification preferences. Then you can select View card details to start spending virtually and add your card to your mobile wallet. You’ll also have the option to automatically link your previously connected bank accounts with Robinhood (including your spending and individual investing accounts) to your credit account.
If you have any issues logging in, go to My account and login for troubleshooting steps.
Your card shipment’s tracking information will appear in the Robinhood Banking app with updates as your card makes its way to you! Once your card has been delivered, you can activate your card for in-store spending by scanning the QR code included with your card packaging. You'll also see the option to activate your card on Home tab → Platinum Card. Select Activate to confirm and start spending.
If you don’t see the option to activate after receiving your card, you’ll need to contact our Credit Card support team for assistance. You can contact the team in your Banking app by going to Menu (3 bars) → Customer Support → Contact support.
The Robinhood Platinum Card is numberless to maximize your account’s security if your card is lost or stolen. On the back of your physical card, you should only see your name listed. When you need to enter your full card details to complete purchases, select View card details on your Platinum Card. You’ll use your secure verification method (Face/Touch ID or passcode) to reveal your card details. You can also copy your card number directly from this screen. If you need your physical card details (not your in-app number), select any transaction where you used your physical card to find your full physical card number.
Mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay allow you to store your card’s information virtually and use your phone to complete in-person transactions without your physical card being present. This means you can start spending right away!
You’ll be prompted to add your card to your mobile wallet the first time you access the app (you can always add this later by selecting View card details directly on your Platinum Card). This will use your secure verification method (Face/Touch ID or passcode) to reveal your card details. Next, select the wallet icon to add your card to your mobile wallet.
When adding your card to your mobile wallet, you may need to complete a verification step. To verify your card with Apple or Google, select the text or email verification option rather than the call option. Next, we’ll send a code to your phone or email that you can enter.
We don’t currently support Samsung Pay, so you’ll need to use Google Pay if you have an Android.
You can add bank accounts to pay your credit balance by going to Menu (3 bars) → Platinum Card → Payment accounts → + Connect new account. You’ll then be able to connect your bank accounts via Plaid.
If you don’t want to use Plaid or are having trouble, you can connect your accounts manually by selecting Add account manually instead. We use micro deposits to verify ownership of a manually connected bank account. This process consists of us initiating 2 micro deposits to your bank account. Once those deposits are posted to your account (this can take up to 3 business days), you can complete the verification process by entering the amounts of the micro deposits in the Banking app. Once this process is complete, you can make payments from this account.
You can view your accounts in Menu (3 bars) → Platinum Card → Payment accounts.
You can update your email address, phone number, and billing address by going to Menu (3 bars) → Profile (Your name). To update your email address or phone number, you’ll be redirected to the Robinhood app. Once the update is complete in the Robinhood app, it’ll automatically update for all of your accounts. When you update your billing address in the Banking app, it’ll automatically update within the Robinhood app as well.
Note that if you need to update your shipping address, you can do so when ordering a new card. If your name needs to be changed, or you’re unable to update your phone number or email in the app, go to Your information for options to update.
If your card is lost, stolen, or you have concerns about the security of your card, you can lock or replace your card directly in the app.
There are 2 ways to lock your card:
Or
Locking your card only disables it from being used to make future purchases, it doesn’t automatically replace your card. You’ll have the option to unlock your card and continue transacting. If you need to replace your card after it is lost or stolen, follow the steps below.
Cards may take 3 days to get manufactured and 2 days to ship ($25 FedEx fee) or up to 5 business days via USPS for free.
You can replace your card by going to Menu (3 bars) → Platinum Card → Lost or Stolen Card. You’ll need to answer questions to make sure you don’t have any unrecognized transactions. You’ll also have the option to confirm your preferred shipping method, require a signature for delivery, and update your shipping address if it has changed since your last card was delivered. Each Platinum-plated card replacement will be $100 or you can get a Silver metal card for free.
If you’re the primary cardholder, you can lock or replace an authorized user’s card in the Family tab and select the authorized user’s profile.
You can view your transaction history under your Platinum Card and app notifications. If you’d like to search for a specific transaction or view a more detailed transaction list, select All transactions. Then enter the name of the merchant you’d like to search for into the search bar.
You can also export your transaction history as a CSV file by going to Menu (3 lines) → Documents → Export transaction history. From there, choose the timeframe you want and confirm the email address where you’d like us to send the file.
You can export:
After you confirm, you’ll get an email titled Your transactions are ready for download. The download link stays available for 7 days.
To view your current balance and available credit, go to Home tab → Platinum Card. Select info (circled i) next to your available credit under your current account balance and you can review a detailed breakdown of your current balance, credit limit, credit utilization, pending transactions, and available credit.
You can find your APR by going to Menu (3 bars) → Documents → Statements.
Within Documents, you can also view your cardholder agreement, your rewards terms, and our privacy policies.
Currently, we’re only integrated with budgeting apps that use Plaid or Intuit. This is the current list of supported integrations:
When integrating, you should be able to locate your Robinhood Credit account by entering the phone number associated with your Robinhood Credit account. If you’re unable to locate your account this way, we recommend contacting your budgeting app’s customer support directly for further assistance.
If you’ve already integrated with your other Robinhood accounts in the past, you’ll need to reconnect with Robinhood for your Credit Card account to show up as well.
