Update your phone number

If you’ve recently changed your phone number, you’ll need to update it with us.

You can update your phone number here, or follow the steps for your device.

App

Select Account → Menu (3 bars) → Settings
Select Personal Information → Phone number
Enter your new phone number

Web

Select Account → Settings
Select Phone number
Enter your new phone number, and then select Save

Note

Your phone number change won’t take effect until you verify your new number using the one-time passcode (OTP) sent via SMS to your new phone number. Make sure you have access to your new number before starting.

If you can’t receive an SMS code on your old number, you can use an alternate verification flow to update your number:

Open the Robinhood app to log in and select I need help
Select I forgot my password → Send text instead
Select I need help again → Verify with selfie and/or ID instead
Upload a photo of your three-point selfie and/or government-issued ID
After you regain access, go to Account → Settings → Personal information → Phone number and enter your new number (you may need to verify yourself again)

Note

If you’re residing in the US, but have an international phone number, you can still update your phone number to an international one, but we may reach out to confirm your residency in the United States. If you’re trying to update your phone number to an international number and live outside the US, contact us to provide additional information.
