Connect to the Robinhood trading MCP so that you can use your external agent to trade on Robinhood. You’ll first need to connect an AI agent and then follow the on-screen steps.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI agents connect to external apps and services. Instead of just answering questions, an AI with MCP access can take actions on your behalf.

Your agent answers questions about your portfolio value, buying power, and account information, and helps with your investing, including placing orders with the different available order types. Ultimately, you are in control of your agent, but the following are a few examples of what you can set your agent up to do for you when it’s connected to your Robinhood MCP account. • Build portfolios: “Look through news and industry reports to build a portfolio that represents little-known tickers across the AI supply chain.”
• Automate trading strategies: “Buy $100 of ROAR every time the price decreases 2% or more in 1 day.”
• Adjust your portfolio: “Rebalance my portfolio to achieve a 20% allocation in ROAR and 80% allocation in HMNI.”
• Analyze your portfolio: “Look at my portfolio and tell me what risks I’m exposed to.”
• Analyze market data: "Why is ROAR up today?" or “Look at news, social sentiment, and recent quotes to build a bull and bear thesis for ROAR.”

You’re in charge of your trades. When you use an AI agent to place orders, all investment decisions are yours. Before your agent takes action, you can review what it’s about to do. Be aware that if you’ve asked your agent to take action without asking your approval, it can place trades without your confirmation. Review Disclosures for more details about the risks.

When you connect an external AI agent to the Robinhood Trading MCP, it will have read access to these data points:

• All your Robinhood accounts, including your Robinhood account numbers
• All details about your positions and balances
• All details about your transactions, including your order history

Before you can start trading with an external agent, you’ll need to choose an AI platform. Once you’re set up on a platform, follow the applicable instructions to connect the Robinhood Trading MCP.

To trade with an external agent, you must open a Robinhood MCP account specifically for your external agent.

An MCP account is a type of self-directed, individual investing account. For investing purposes, you can have up to 10 self-directed individual investing accounts, including your MCP account. To open an MCP account for your external agent, you’re required to: Have a primary individual investing account that’s in good standing before you open additional accounts. Complete the onboarding that auto-opens after you connect to the Robinhood Trading MCP.

To open an account for your agent to use:

1. Connect your AI agent (choose an AI platform and follow the applicable instructions)
2. When authenticating the AI agent, we’ll prompt you to open an MCP account
3. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup
